Thank you ladies for sharing your valuable time to ensure we remain on track and continually move forward in accomplishing Psi Iota Xi's philanthropic goals.
In 1897, Psi Iota Xi was founded by the joining together of women to make a difference in the lives of individuals one community at a time. The original intent was to bring more diverse cultural experiences to their communities. Music and art were introduced to these towns with the funds that the women raised. As the organization grew, literature and literacy became an added focus. Now the sphere of interest has grown to include helping those with speech and hearing difficulties.
Psi Iota Xi is a charitable organization supporting communities in the fields of speech and hearing, art, music, and literature.
Founded in 1897 and currently 135 chapters strong in five states - Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Psi Iota Xi is also known in its many local chapters for various local community fundraising and assistance endeavors.
Any woman 18 or older who is interested in joining us is urged to contact us for more information.
Founded on September 19, 1897 by a group of five high school girls and their three teachers in Central High School in Muncie, Indiana, Psi Iota Xi was the first Greek letter organization of its kind in Indiana. Alpha chapter's purpose was for its members to find self-direction and personal growth while seeking to enrich the lives of others by furthering philanthropic enterprises.
